Welcome Ward 3 Neighbor
I stand out from this field of candidates because I possess the energy, legislative experience, leadership, and work ethic to effectively represent Ward 3 on the D.C. Council. My vision for Ward 3 includes 21 progressive goals specially tailored to achieve great things for this Ward and for this city.
As your next Ward 3 Councilmember, I will use my years of legislative experience as a D.C. Council staff member to deliver important funding for Ward 3 projects and first-rate constituent services for you, the residents. As a legislative counsel for health and aging issues, I worked with Councilmember Sandy Allen to expand health care and prescription drug coverage. As clerk of the Committee on Finance and Revenue, I worked with Councilmember Jack Evans to fully fund the modernization of our public schools, to preserve public green space, and to provide important income and property tax relief to homeowners, seniors, and residents with disabilities. This experience has taught me how this our government works and as your Councilmember, I promise you, I will achieve results.
I vow to put my experience to work for you by representing Ward 3 as a full-time, accessible, and responsive Councilmember.
I vow to introduce at least 11 pieces of legislation at the first legislative session, as your Ward 3 Councilmember to help accomplish my vision for Ward 3.
Thank you for your time and your interest.
I ask for your support on September 12, 2006.
